Kazuko Hill, 85

Died: May 4, 2013

 

 

Kazuko’s life began on Sept. 22, 1927, in Japan, the daughter of Keishi and Kishiko

 

Hayakawa Takeda.

 

The former Edwardsburg resident was united in marriage to Roland Leroy “Joe” Hill on Oct. 8, 1970, in Misawa, Japan.

 

Kazuko’s loving family includes: two nieces, Miyumi Okumura and Hitomi

 

Kato; a nephew, Hiroyuki Hayakawa; and two great-nieces, Mineka Okumura and Motoka Grahl.

 

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; a brother, Keiji Hayakawa; and a sister, Ikuko Hayakawa.

 

Kazuko passed away May 4, 2013, at Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis.

 

Her family will gather with friends on Friday, May 10, from 1p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac.

 

Cremation rites will be accorded after the service with inurnment at a later date at Edwardsburg Cemetery.
