Mary Mellinger, 57

Died: April 6, 2013

Mary’s life began on Dec. 25, 1955, in Dowagiac, the daughter of Homer and Norma (Hayden) Montgomery.

She worked for many years at Burger King and as a school crossing guard in Dowagiac.

She was united in marriage to John Mellinger, who survives, on May 5, 2001, at Sister Lakes.

She is also survived by: sisters, Maggie Bozman of Coloma, Elizabeth Montgomery of Dowagiac and Carol Montgomery; brothers, Robert and Richard Montgomery, both of Cassopolis; and several nieces and nephews.

She passed away on Saturday, April 6, at her home.

Her family will gather with friends on Friday, May 3, from noon to 2 at Yazel and Clark Chapel with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to her family.
