Marilyn Flanagan, 76, of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis.

Marilyn’s life began on July 19, 1936, in Cassopolis, the daughter of Lewis and Nellie (Lantz) Owen.

She was united in marriage to Patrick Flanagan on July 16, 1960, in Dowagiac. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2007.

Marilyn loved to spend time with her family. She really loved her coffee and Pepsi, listening to Elvis music and dancing. Marilyn always had a smile.

Her loving family includes: her children, Colleen Wilson, Carroll (Fae) James, Pat M. (Lucy) Flanagan, Karen (Tom) Langley, Kathleen Flanagan, James (Gladys) James and Tracy (Brian) Morton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Tietsort.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her sons, Sean P. Flanagan and Dan Flanagan; and brothers, Ronald and William Owen.
