Reba Stevens Davis, 77

Born: May 15, 1935

Died: Feb. 15, 2013

Reba Stevens Davis, 77, of Dowagiac, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Dowagiac Missionary Baptist Church. Her family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.

Arrangements are by the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma.

Reba was born May 15, 1935 in Lake City, Ark., to James and Lillie Stevens.  She graduated from Dowagiac Central High School in 1954.

Reba was a faithful member of Dowagiac Missionary Baptist Church.  Reba was an avid Michigan football fan and also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys.  She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.  Everyone who knew her loved her and she was Grandma to everyone.
She is survived by: her son, James (Wendy) Davis of Dowagiac; her brothers, Elmer Stevens of Dowagiac, who was her caregiver for many years, Carl Stevens of Niles and Martin Everett (Joyce) Stevens of San Diego, Calif.; her sisters, Nellie (Van) Livingston of Grand Rapids and Joyce (Gary) Gilpin of Coloma and Dowagiac; her grandchildren, Jacob and Natalie; her pets, Gigi and Charlie; and several nieces and nephews.
