EAU CLAIRE — Margaret Ann O’Toole, 85, of Eau Claire, passed away on

Jan. 29, 2013, at Woodland Terrace in Niles of natural causes.

Margaret was born on July 8, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to Richard and Ruth (Abell)

Watkins. She was a homemaker, and worked as a hospital volunteer.

Margaret enjoyed bowling, traveling, sailing, beachcombing for shells and spending winters at home in Culebra, Puerto Rico.

She had her private pilot’s license and was an amateur radio operator. She was a member of Fernwood, Niles Weavers, Sarett Nature Center, St. Joe and Indian Lake Yacht Clubs, Florida Botanical Gardens and the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary.

Surviving family include her sons, Garry Elghammer of Niles and David Elghammer of

Ann Arbor; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, Richard Elghammer; her second

husband, John O’Toole; son, Douglas Elghammer; and sisters, Mary Lou Comstock and

Betty Dickison.
