Fiddler entertains at Box Factory

Riversong Music Society will once again present the beautiful voice and superb violin playing of Sarah Dowell, accompanied on guitar by her father, Steve Dowell, at the Box Factory for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10.

Appearing with the Dowells will be “Doc” Hosler, whose rich baritone voice and engaging humor have delighted audiences throughout the Michiana region.

Tickets at the door are $10 general admission; $8 students and seniors; children 12 and younger admitted free.

The Dowells perform a variety of songs, including Broadway show tunes, Celtic folk songs, down home country songs, and spiritual songs of faith. Sarah has won awards for the past several years at the Shady Grove Fiddle Fest in Berrien Springs and at the annual Michigan State Championship Old-Time Fiddlers Contest in New Boston. Audiences adore her virtuoso fiddling and her Celtic Women-style of singing.

Steve,is an exceptionally talented and versatile guitarist, who provides excellent harmony vocals. Together, Sarah and Steve are powerfully engaging and dynamic duo.

Doc Hosler will perform selections from his vast repertoire of 1950s doo-wop, classic country and Southern gospel. There will be music and fun for all generations.
