BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — For the second time this season, a Trine University football player has been named to the National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware, as junior punter Nick Muir was honored for his game against Concordia (WI).

The Second Team All-MIAA honoree was the only punter selected as he had one of the best punting games in school history as he attempted six punts on the day, netting 291 yards for a school record average of 48.5.

Two of those punts pinned the Falcons inside their own 20-yard line. Late in the fourth quarter Muir (Edwardsburg) also boomed a school record 81-yard punt from deep within Trine’s own territory.

The Thunder are the only team in the MIAA conference to have a player named to the Team of the Week this season. In addition, through three weeks of play Trine is one of only nine teams to have a player honored in multiple weeks by D3football.
