Dorothy Arilla PeGan, 84, of Niles, passed away Aug. 4, 2012, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

She was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Berrien County to Claude and Daisy Young. She worked as a production line worker.

On March 31, 1948, she married Richard S. PeGan in Niles.

Surviving family includes her children, David L. (MaryLou) PeGan of Edwardsburg; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jean (Bob) Taylor of Niles, Joan Dunifin of Cassopolis and Claudean (Charles) Schabor of North Carolina.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughters, Katherine Swanson, Claudean PeGan, Sue Ann McQuaid; son, Richard A. PeGan; her parents; and sisters, Bernice Fuller, Helen Binns and Mary Ann Vandenburg.
