Keeler Twp. voters have a choice for change

Dear editor,

I would like to urge all Keeler Township voters to vote Aug. 7. We actually, for a change, have choices of who to vote for.

I think Joe True is doing a very good job in his position of supervisor. He has held his office since the election after last year’s recall. He listens to the residents (something the Keeler Township Board members didn’t feel necessary to do before the recall), and has been on top of problems large and small.

I feel True’s action on the confusing tax situation mentioned in William Krohne’s letter to the editor July 20, 2012, was very proper and shows his commitment to transparency in local government. He did the right thing to investigate it.

I wonder why that would bother anyone. I also feel Fisher and Kinney have great qualifications for the positions they are running for.

Don’t forget to vote in this important election. Although it is a primary, you will be electing those you vote for because they are running in the same party and only one per party can be on the ballot in November.
