CASSOPOLIS — Missing a cow and a steer?

A red-and-white cow and a black-and-white steer were found roaming loose in a field near the intersection of Calvin Center Road and Chapel Hill Street in Calvin Township May 3 and impounded by Cass County Animal Control, Director Michael D. Grice said Wednesday.

Grice said there were reports that the cattle had been roaming loose for at least two weeks prior to Animal Control being notified.

If anyone knows where the cattle belong or who may own them, contact Animal Control at (269) 445-3701 Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

If you are the owner, you have 15 days to reclaim your animals from the date of this notice.
