Events at Cass District Library

Free Comic Book Day
Stop in to a Cass District Library in Cassopolis to pick up a free comic book Saturday.
Comic books will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
The Main Library will be showing a movie based on a popular Marvel superhero. The movie starts at 10 a.m. and is free and open to the public.

Bryan and Judi:
free music concert
Bryan and Judi will be performing a concert at 7 p.m. May 15 at the Mason/Union Branch Library.
A diverse mix of styles will be featured that includes folk, rock and blues, to jazz and ragtime. Come and enjoy songs everybody knows and loves.
This musical partnership features the guitar work of Bryan Edington and vocal stylings of Judi Elin.
Bryan has been a respected member of the local music scene and beyond for many years.
A South Bend native, Judi has studied voice in South Bend, Bloomington and San Francisco. This concert is free and open to the public.
The Mason/Union Branch Library is located at 17049 U.S. 12 in Edwardsburg.

Peter and the Wolf:
childhood favorites concert
The Lake Effect Winds Woodwind Quintet will be performing at 7 p.m. May 24 at the Howard Branch Library.
Enjoy childhood favorites including “Peter and the Wolf,” “Dance of the Hours,” “The Circus Bee,” “Golliwog’s Cake Walk” and more. Peter and the Wolf will be performed with narration as well as music.
Members of Lake Effect Winds Woodwind Quintet all reside in southwest Michigan and include Jan Street, Ruthann Adams, Melody Prather, DeLain Bomer and Lisa Bubar. This concert is sponsored by the Kathryn Sehy Memorial Fund.  This concert is family friendly, free and open to the public.
The Howard Branch is located at 2341 Yankee St. in Niles.
