Cass County Water Resources Commissioner Bruce Campbell announces he will seek re-election for another four-year term.

Campbell was appointed to office in July 2008 and won the general election in November of that year.

Campbell has spent nearly 30 years in county government in both St. Joseph and Cass counties.  He has held positions at the sheriff’s departments of both counties, and also served as Cass County’s emergency management coordinator from 1991 to 2000. He has also worked as Cass County’s address technician and as the county enforcing agent for the Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Program.

“Working in county government has been my career and I look forward for the opportunity to serve the residents of Cass County for another term,” he said.

“Maintaining county drains is critical to our economy and our quality of life.

“Managing decreed lake levels and protecting the waters of our county through a strong soil erosion program will ensure the protection of these waters as one of our county’s most valuable resources for our current and future generations.”
