Meth arrests in Ontwa

One adult was arrested and two children were taken into protective custody after officers reportedly found methamphetamine in an Ontwa Township home Tuesday.
According to the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 24,000 block of North Shore Drive. One woman was arrested for methamphetamine-related offenses.
Police executed the search warrant in the early afternoon and found two adults and two young children inside the residence. During a search of the residence detectives from the drug team located methamphetamine, evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing components and paraphernalia related to the use of methamphetamine.
Child Protective Services was called to the scene due to the presence of the two minors.
The defendant was arrested at the scene for possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. She was lodged at the Cass County Jail.

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on Wednesday, Jan. 11, a search warrant was executed in the 70000 block of Lakeview Drive in Ontwa Township regarding methamphetamine manufacturing.
Three subjects were arrested at the scene.
Police located three adults — one female and two males — at the residence where the warrant was executed.
Investigators report locating used one-pot-style methamphetamine labs, methamphetamine, marijuana, a firearm and components to manufacture methamphetamine.
Detectives from the drug team also uncovered evidence indicating methamphetamine was being sold at the residence.
The female subject was arrested at the scene for manufacturing methamphetamine within 500 feet of a residence, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house and possession of marijuana.
The two male subjects were arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine within 500 feet of a residence, production of hazardous waste, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.
One male subject was also arrested for felony firearms-related charges.
All three subjects were lodged at Cass County Jail in Cassopolis.
Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department assisted CCDET at the scene.
