Encore School of the Arts resumes classes today.
There will be a soup supper fundraiser to benefit Decatur Human Services on Feb. 3. There will also be a fundraiser for the Encore Extreme Pom Team as well as a couple more for The Encore Dance Company in coming months. Openings are available for guitar students on Mondays; piano or voice on Thursdays; and percussion on Wednesdays. Call the office, if interested. Lessons cost $80 per month for a weekly 30-minute one-on-one lesson.
On May 20, Encore School of the Arts presents the 2012 Dance Recital, the culmination of nine months of dance classes.
These classes prepare students to perform in a high-level show presented at 1 and 6 p.m.

Encore, 405 East Division St., Dowagiac, has three dance studios, three music practice rooms, a visual arts studio, a small gymnasium/performance space, a fitness room and a multipurpose room.
