Dale K. Perryman, 80, of Vandalia, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 in Kalamazoo.

He was born July 11, 1930 in Blue Island, Illinois to Wilson and Frances (Salapatek) Perryman. He married LaVerne Scholten on Aug. 30, 1952. She predeceased him on July 26, 1995. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Myrna Kinzley.

Dale served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1991 as a computer operator from Allis Chalmers.

He is survived by daughters, Darlene (Dave) Brockman of Vicksburg, and JoAnn McPartlin of Elkhart, Ind.; grandchildren, Ken (Brittney) Koschnitzki of South Bend, Aimee (Matthew) Pico of Vandalia, John McPartlin of Frankfort, Ill. and Jessica Brockman of Vicksburg, Mich.; and one great-granddaughter, Mahala Koschnitzki.

His faithful companion of 15 years, his dog Jingles, died in April.

Family and friends gathered Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at 2 p.m. for a graveside service at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
