Clara Virginia Planck

Born Feb. 28, 1927, to the late Elmo and Berthea White, went to Jesus Christ her Savior on Sept. 6, 2010. Her struggle lasted 83 years nine months and six days in which she overcame the flesh with many trials and tribulations, all in the name of Jesus Christ, and only through Him did she overcome. Graduating High School in 1944 from Decatur and soon after on Feb. 8, 1947, married her first and only love, Richard Lee Planck, who went home Jan. 10, 2000 after 53 years, 11 months and two days of marriage. The union yielded five children, making her a mother to Carl Martin Planck (Linda), Richard Charles Planck (Peggy), Gloria Ann Smith (Gary), Rodney Brian Planck (Brenda), and Terri Renee Busick (Alan) in that order. Her children gave her 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren to date, all of whom survive, except for a grandson, Charles Lee Planck who went home in 1994 still very loved and missed. Not only did she have all of these joys, but she had three beloved sisters: Beaulah, Margareitte and Norma Jean. All of whom preceded her but never left her!

She was also a big sister to three very special brothers: Bill White (Veta) of Texas, Richard White of California, and Jerry White (Pearl) of Missouri all of whom survive along with a special brother-in-law “Uncle Delmer” of California. These beloved siblings provided her with another slew of treasures known as nieces and nephews all of whom she loved and kept in contact with as long as she could. “Some very special girls and boys” she often said.

Others include; Donald Bowers and sister Barbara Bowers as well as other nieces and nephews from her husband’s sisters that she loved and tried to keep in touch with.

Many cousins survive her as well from all over, whom she also kept in contact with. Joyce and Marge were two of girls as she often said. They survive as do many others including a special cousin in-law Jerry Proshwitz.

So many more had her love as her survivors are too many to name in all!

One of her most cherished if not the most cherished of her family was her Church Family the Body of Christ that she loved so dearly from South Wayne Community and Calvary Bible Church of which the members are too many to name but never too many for her to love.

For we the Beloved Body of Christ are many and no matter if you attended her churches or not she loved them all as they were her Brothers and Sisters in the blood of Jesus Christ. “But oh how she loved those two particular branches and their fellow servants in Christ.”

These are all whom survived her flesh. Her roll was called up yonder and so now we the survivors wish to invite any and all to her celebration which will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2010 with a viewing at Yazel & Clark Chapel, 405 Center Street from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and with service and song to follow Monday, September 20th  at Calvary Bible Church at 2:00 p.m., both of which are wheel chair accessible and are both in Dowagiac, MI. Burial will follow the services at South Wayne Cemetery where her flesh shall be reunited with her Husbands! Her soul has already found Eternal Solace in the presence of Jesus Christ her King and the King to this entire world!

We, the family, would love to thank all those who sent prayers and kind words our way during this time. A daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother, were her most loved titles which still did not compare to her most valued role which was a Servant of Jesus Christ! This role made her all that she was in all her other roles. We will always be forever grateful for this, our very special lady, no matter what role she played in your life “SHE LOVED AND LOVES YOU ALL”! Until we meet again…
