Tina L. Hoover, 37,  of 12777 Pine Rd., Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at  4:06 p.m. at the accident scene on Lincoln Highway East in Plymouth, Ind.

Tina was born Dec. 20, 1972 in Elkhart to Paul and Kathy (Kiriazis) Sweitzer. When in junior high and high school, she was very active in school track and ran in the state wide track competition for the school. Tina had worked for the Abbott Lab for 12 years.

She graduated in 1995 from Western Michigan University. On July 14, 1997 she married Brent Hoover in South Bend. They have lived in Plymouth since that time. She had been training for her first triathalon and also she has learned to swim this year. She was a member of Tri Kappa of Plymouth.

Tina is survived by her husband Brent and their two sons, Brady and Brice, both at home; her parents, Paul and Kathy Sweitzer, of Cassopolis; sisters, Sherri (Richard) Lemiunix of South Carolina and Leslie (Michael) Bradley of Cassopolis; brother, Kris Sweitzer of West Lafayette, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and her mother and father-in-law, Melanie and Joe Alexander of Plymouth.

Services were held Saturday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill Cemetery, also in Plymouth.

Friends called Friday, Aug. 6 from  4 to 7 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home.

The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Ronald McDonald family room in South Bend.
