Robert Eugene Moore, 76, of Green Valley, Ariz., was born Feb. 15, 1934, in Dowagiac, to Robert and Jane Moore and passed into the Lord’s hands on July 11, 2010, after a three-year, courageous battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his loving wife, Dolores of Green Valley; his younger brother, Ron (Connie) Moore of Plano, Texas; his precious children, Robert (Pam) Moore of Niles, Cherie (Jim) Bradford of Dowagiac, Susan (Scott) Johnson of Charlotte, N.C., Karen Barbour of Benton Harbor and Mindy Ortiz of Muskegon; his step-children, Lynne Rice of Riverside, Calif., Carolyn Pope of Tucson, Ariz., Michael Cain of Green Valley, Ariz., and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as step-grandchildren.

He also leaves behind his beloved cousins who were his friends, Sandra Jane, Linda, Brent, Greg, Phyliss, Patty, George Jr., Gary, John, Sharon, Cindy, Suzanne, Aunt Dorothy Fernham and longtime friends Leo (Karen) Carmody and neighbor, Richard (Ann) Flora.

He served three years in the Air Force and worked more than 30 years for the Post Office in Dowagiac and Niles.

He was a sweet and lovable man, devoted to his family and he will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

A memorial service led by Pastor John Kasper for Robert will be held on Saturday, July 24, at 10 a.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel.

He will be laid to rest at Keeler Cemetery.
