Barbara’s life began on Aug. 8, 1944, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Edna (Leigh) Pavlovic. She was united in marriage to Sam Woollet in the late 1970s in Brookfield, Ill.
In the early 1960s Barbara worked downtown Chicago for the electric company. She later worked assembling Jeeps for the U.S. Army at A.M. General.

Barbara, 65, of Dowagiac, enjoyed painting apartment units with her late husband and doing clerical work for her daughter.

However, Barbara always found time to work on different craft projects.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, making ceramics and making jewelry.

Her loving family includes: her children, Tammy (Dan) Williams of Dowagiac, Michelle Lynn (James) Lawson of Dowagiac, David (Alysia) Gordy Jr. of Watervliet and stepson Jason Woollet of Michigan; her sister, Linda Nicosia of Downers Grove, Ill.;  grandchildren, Beth Williams, Jacob Williams, Brian Lawson, Scott Lawson, Mathew Lawson, Audreanna Gordy, Justin Gordy, Tiffany Williams, Daniel Williams III, Taylor O’Neal and Tristin O’Neal; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Holly, Scott Jr., Wyatt, Arionna and Alexander;  her sisters-in-law, Carol (Victor)Ott of Niles, Sally Woollet of Florida and Sharon (Butch) Meadows of Nevada; her brother-in-law, Philip (Margaret) Woollet of Niles; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara passed away at her home on June 19, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna, her step-father Leo Madden and her sisters, Ina Santana and Terry Darda.

Her family will gather with friends on Wednesday, June 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yazel-Clark Chapel, Dowagiac, where her funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Michael Fields from Bright Star Tabernacle.

She will be laid to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles.
