CASSOPOLIS – Leonard A. Goodrich, 75, of Cass Street, Cassopolis, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010, in his home.

He was born Feb. 17, 1935, in Hamilton Township, Van Buren County, son of the late Leonard W. and Dorothy (McCowan) Goodrich.

Surviving are: two daughters, Linda Swisher of Cassopolis and Laurie Dyer of Bangor; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his former wife, JoAnne Hardy of Cassopolis.

He is also survived by: two sisters, Connie Vandomelen of Oregon and Joan Stewart of Grand Junction; and two brothers, Dewayne Goodrich of Oregon and Harold Goodrich of Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by: a daughter, LeNelle “Jane” Goodrich in 1974; a son, Leonard W. Goodrich in 2005; a sister, Elizabeth Dragon; and two brothers, Gerald Goodrich and Maxwell Goodrich.

Leonard was a retired diesel mechanic and truck driver.

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at Volinia Baptist Church in Cass County’s Volinia Township.

Officiating will be Pastor Thomas Stout.

Interment will be in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton Township, Van Buren County.
