Niles girls grab top finishes at Exchange Relays

STURGIS – The Niles girls’ track team finished fourth at the Sturgis Exchange Relays on Saturday.

The Vikings’ spring medley relay team of Savannah Wolnik, Lindsay Chavous, Taylor Brandstatter and Madie Rodts took first place with a time of 2:00.8.

Niles grabbed a second place finish in the 400-meter relay with the team of Wolnik, Chavous, Milyne Briggs and Ashley Love. That team was clocked at 54.72.

The Vikings were also second in the 3,200-meter relay with a time of 10:42.74. That unit consisted of Rodts, Gabie Ezell, Brandstatter and Karon Nichols.

Niles finished third in the 1,600-meter relay and the shuttle hurdle relay.

The 1,600 squad posted a time of 4:31 with the group of Briggs, Ezell, Brandstatter and Rodts.

The shuttle hurdle team ran a 54.75 with the squad of Allie Hoyt, Allie Schenebrener, Calee McIntyre and Paige Chaffin.

The Vikings also grabbed third place in the long jump relay. The team of Wolnik, Love and Dana Delmuro finished with a total distance of 41-9.
