LAKE CITY, Fla. – Wanda Dewey was born in Volinia in 1923 and passed away March 15, 2010 at Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park, Fla.

She was a longtime Dowagiac resident who moved to Clearwater in 1968 with her husband, Douglas Dewey, who preceded her in death in 1974.

She then moved to Advent Christian Village in north Florida in 2002.

She was an active member of the Silver Tones Gospel Choral Group and played instruments in both the Rhythm Band and Folk Music Band.

Surviving are: her son, Rodney Fosdick of Mattawan; three daughters, Gay Papoi of O’Brien, Fla., Patricia Riley of Lake City, Fla., and Kelly Crawford of St. Petersburg, Fla.

She had 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Stepson David Dewey preceded her in death in 2008.

A memorial service was held to celebrate her life and her entrance to her heavenly home at the Advent Christian Village Chapel with Pastor Jack Jones presiding.
