Highsmith lone Dowagiac player named All-Wolverine

Wolverine Conference champion Gull Lake and runner-up Otsego both landed three players on the all-league squad, which was announced recently.

Dowagiac’s Dontel Highsmith was the lone Chieftain named to the team.

Trenton Messer, Adam Peters and Adam Schultz were named to the first team from Gull Lake, which finished with a 17-1 conference record.

Derek and Jared Klein, along with Carl Nord were picked from Otsego, which went 16-2 in league play.

Also named to the first team were Highsmith, Caleb Byers of Allegan, Stacey Martin III of Comstock, Michael Walker and Jalen Wilder of South Haven, as well as Kyle Johnson of Vicksburg.
