Marion Geiger entered the gates of heaven to meet her personal Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2010. Tom, her husband of 57 years, was by her side as she left her earthly home.
Marion was born on April 23, 1935, in Dowagiac.

She was the daughter of Dean and Mary Jane Rowe.

Marion grew up in Dowagiac and graduated from Dowagiac High School.

On June 28, 1953 , she married Thomas Geiger of Edwardsburg.

They established their home in Niles, where they raised three children.

They later movedĀ  to Edwardsburg and remodeled the farm where Tom was raised. They celebrated 57 years together.

Marion is survived by: two children, her daughter, Rhonda Neal (Niles), and son Rod (Melissa) of Massilon, Ohio. Surviving grandchildren include Amanda Amantecatl-Neal (Pedro) and BreeAnna Neal of Niles as well as Jordyn and Brooke Geiger of Massilon. Samantha Belle Amantecatl-Neal is her only great-grandchild. Marion’s parents, Dean and Mary Jane Rowe, sister Lorraine, and her beloved son, Rick Dean, preceded her in death.

Marion was a giving, faithful friend. She enjoyed serving others through her gift of hospitality. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was known for her pie crust and meticulous attention to detail in all matters.

Marion regularly wrote notes and made phone calls for the expressed purpose of encouragement. She was a devoted follower of Christ. A member of Harris Prairie Church of Christ in Granger, Ind., for 46 years, she participated in numerous areas of ministry, including missions, teaching, hospitality and choir. Music enriched her soul. Music gave her purpose. The music of heaven now welcomes her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Harris Prairie Church of Christ, located in Granger, Ind., on Monday, March 29.

An informal gathering time is set for 6:30 to allow friends to share with family. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 7 p.m.

A private committal service for family members will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles, where Marion will be laid to rest.

Memorial contributions may be made to to Borgess Visiting Nurses and Hospice in lieu of flowers.

The family of Marion Geiger rejoices that her life is now pain-free and she is in the presence of God. We loved her and thank God for the years He allowed her to be with us.

Her journey is now fulfilled.
