The Niles Mens’ Basketball League got off to an exciting start on Sunday night.

In the early games, Team Niles scored 94 points as it defeated the Bucks.

Team Niles was led by Eric Jefferies’ 32 points and Big Rod with 34. Former Buchanan star Craig Monsma led the Bucks with 29.

The Indiana All-Stars defeated Niles Duct and Insulation 101-78.

Luke Maher led the victors with 28 and Billy McClendon added 19. Rodney Lee chipped in 18.

Niles Duct and Insulation was led by Jake Beckman’s 22 points. Former Niles High standouts Jemeal Briggs and Mark Hasse added 18 points apiece.

The late games saw Team Cass defeat Team Family Time Pools 88-84.

Former Niles basketball and football star Matt Brawley led the winners with 33 points on eleven 3-point shots. Former Cassopolis standout Dan Purlee added 24 points. Ryan Sousley led Family Time Pools with 23 points.

Edwardsburg Dentistry rallied from a 15 point deficit to beat Green Structure Supply 49-46. Jerry Cunningham had 11 and Shane Wagner 10 for the winners. Former Brandywine standout Tony McKee had 10 points for Green Structure, while former Dowagiac standout Zech Hoyt chipped in nine.
