Cheryl A. Hertsel, 63, of Edwardsburg passed away Dec. 30, 2009 at Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis after an illness.

She was born June 7, 1946 in Midland, Mich., the daughter of Lloyd and Eva (Lover) Hiner. She was married to David Hertsel, who survives, with one son, Wade (Melissa), Hertsel of Elkhart and one daughter, Roberta (Chuck) Pope of Bridgman. There are five grandchildren and six siblings, Elva Hiner, Rose Hiner, Sally Neiman, Eva (Pat) Havens, Joyce Winslow and Robert (Eulha) Hiner.

Friends were welcomed Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 West Main St., Edwardsburg.

The service was Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Hope United Methodist Church, 69941 Elkhart Rd., Edwardsburg with the Rev. Jeff Reese officiating.

Burial was held at Edwardsburg Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services at the church.
