Winter Wonderland of art, food

The Barker Mansion will be open for tours Saturday.

Michigan City Mainstreet Association presents its fourth annual  Winter Wonderland and stained glass tour on the first three Saturdays in December. The Winter Wonderland event takes place on Franklin Street in the Uptown Arts District.

Begin by touring stained glass at the local churches from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17.

Stained glass exhibits inspiring illustrations of faith and holiday decor are at the following churches:

• First Congregational Church at 531 Washington St.

• St. Paul Lutheran Church & School at 818 Franklin St.

• St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church at 109 Ann Ave.

• Trinity Episcopal Church at 614 Franklin St.

• Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church at 411 West 11th St.

The Barker Mansion will be open for tours Saturday.

From 1 to 4 pm., free photos with Santa will be taken at Mainstreet Theater, 807 Franklin St., witfree hot chocolate, all hosted by the Festival Players Guild. Children will receive a free ticket to Barker Mansion’s Christmas tour.

Horse-drawn wagon rides along Franklin Street in the Uptown Arts District in cooperation with LaPorte County Draft Horse Association are available from 1 to 4 p.m.

Barker Mansion Christmas tours are available throughout the day.

Festival Players Guild wreath sale offers wreaths from 16 inches to 32 inches in diameter and are decorated with a bright bow and pine cones.
