It will be a busy weekend for the Niles boys baketball team.

The Vikings (0-5) will play back-to-back weekend games against host Portage Central and visiting Dowagiac.

Niles will be looking to pick up that elusive first win against either the Mustangs or the Chieftains.

Friday night’s game starts at 7:15 p.m. and Saturday’s contest is set for 3:15 p.m.

The Niles girls basketball team will travel to Portage Central to face the Mustangs in a key Big 16 West Division clash.

The Vikings are in the thick of the division race with a 5-1 record.

Tip-off is set for 5:45 p.m.

Brandywine at Buchanan

The Bobcats snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over Bloomingdale Tuesday night.

Now Brandywine travels to Buchanan to face the arch rival Bucks Friday night.

Buchanan is 5-1 on the season following their victory over LaVille (Ind.) Tuesday night.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

Wrestling

Both Niles and Brandywine will be on the road this weekend.

The Vikings, ranked No. 3 in Division 2, will head to Stevensville for the always-tough Lakeshore Super Duals.

Wrestling is scheduled to begin at noon.

Brandywine will head to Quincy for its annual invitational. The Bobcats will see at least one familiar face at the tournament as Dowagiac is competing there as well.

Wrestling will begin at 9:30 a.m.
