SOUTH BEND — Victoria Elizabeth may have only finished tied for 21st at the Inaugural Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn Sunday, but she still took home a pretty hefty paycheck.

Elizabeth, who is currently second in the Volvik Race for the Card standings, received a check for $2,500 as the winner of the Volvik Bright and Bold Performance Award.

The award recognizes the player, who plays the trademark color Volvik ball, with the lowest scoring average through the sixth and 10th events. Players had to play in a minimum of 10 rounds over the five tournaments.

This was the second award of the season by the Korean golf ball company.

“It is an honor to play the Volvik ball and to be a part of the Volvik team,” said Elizabeth. “Their top-of-the-line equipment helps me perform at the highest level, and I look forward to representing their company throughout my career.”

Elizabeth recorded a 69.20 scoring average over 15 rounds and beat out Victoria Park who posted a 70.10 through 13 rounds. During the second series of the award, Elizabeth notched her first-career victory at the Credit Union Classic in Syracuse, New York.
