Not everyone owns a home along US-12 in Edwardsburg, but that does not mean they cannot take part in the annual yard sale Aug. 8-10.

The Edwardsburg Museum will have spaces for rent in its backyard. The space rental is $10 for one day and $15 for two days.

A bottle of water and a clean bathroom is available for all renters. Reservations may be made at the museum every afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For more information call the Edwardsburg Museum at 663-3005. All proceeds are used for the operation of the museum.

The Uptown Improvement Association will also be holding a yard sale across the street from the museum.

In addition they will sell hot dogs and water. They are in need of items for the sale. All proceeds will be used for the improvement of the Uptown area.

The US-12 Yard Sale will be a “shoppers paradise.”

It will be a good chance to see the rebirth that is taking place in the Uptown Area. New businesses have been added, old businesses have been cleaned up and painted and the planters with beautiful flowers maintained by the Edwardsburg Lioness Club have been joined by the addition of a garden club sprucing up the empty lot on the main corner.

The Edwardsburg Sports Complex also has space to rent.

Located right on US-12, the complex will be renting booth space to interested community members for $15 (bring your own table/chairs).

It is an opportunity to be a part of something big, especially for those who do not live in a place that lends itself to sales.

Renting a booth will help support the ESC and renters can take all of their sale profits home with them.

Those interested can sign up for a 20-foot by 20-foot spot by dropping in on July 26 from 9 to 11 a.m. to register.

They may also contact Patty Patzer at (574) 903-5228 or lakeviewpatzers@comcast.net or Bret Hendrie at brethendrie@gmail.com or (574) 276-9258.
