EDWARDSBURG – Ruth E. Clark, 79, of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest Aug. 27, 2013 at her home after a brief illness.

She was born Oct. 13, 1933 in Washington, Ind., the daughter of Paul and Anna (Cannady) Walker and moved to the Edwardsburg and Union area many years

Ruth was married July 3, 1954 at Washington, Ind. to William R. Lemasters and William passed on April 3, 1968 due to a vehicle accident. Ruth then was married on Oct. 10, 1981 in South Bend, to George A. Clark, and he passed Aug. 5, 2006.

Surviving Ruth are her children; Nancy Hostetter of Elkhart, Ind., Richard Lemasters of Edwardsburg, Kathy (Greg) Donavan of Elkhart, Sarah Lemasters of Lakeville, Ind. and Randall Lemasters of Elkhart. There are 13 grandchildren and   13 great-grandchildren. Also, she has a sister, Judith Kay Fife of Indianapolis. Family who have passed, are her parents, her two husbands, and a son David Ray Lemasters from SIDS

Ruth was a diligent person, always working hard and saving. She graduated from high school and then attended one year of college to become a nursing assistant, working with patients, mainly in nursing facilities. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, for many years.

Family and friends gathered Monday Sept. 2, 2013 from at the Hope United Methodist Church, 69941 Elkhart Rd., Edwardsburg, for visitation. The funeral service was Tuesday Sept. 3, at the church where family and friends gathered for one hour before the service. Officiating was the Rev. Jeff Reese, pastor of the church. Burial will follow at Plum Grove Cemetery, North of Union, MI on Union Road.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 2211 North Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60635.
