Ring Lardner eighth grade sweeps Bears

The Ring Lardner boys eighth grade basketball team competed in a pre-Thanksgiving Tournament against St. Joseph.

The Vikings won both games.

In the first game, Niles defeated the Bears 30-21 as Austin Curran had eight points and 10 rebounds. Dustin Anders added seven points and 12 rebounds, while Cameron Haines finished with seven points and five steals.

The Vikings also got five points from Alex Jasper and five assists from Dawson Clemens.

In the second game, Niles defeated St. Joseph 83-43.

Alex Harpenau led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Bryce Lake chipped in with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Jacob Hamm finished with 14 points, while Kenny Gathright had 13 points and eight rebounds.

The Vikings also got seven assists each from James Kirtdoll and Hunter Slaughter. Ben Florkowski had six points.
