Purdue basketball games on WHME

SOUTH BEND, Ind. —  Just days before the season begins, Harvest 103.1 WHME has stepped up to once again become the home of Purdue University basketball.

“We recognized that Purdue had really become disenfranchised by radio stations here in Michiana, and we wanted to do what we could to help their fans,” said WHME Sports Director Chuck Freeby. “We’re excited to have Boilermaker basketball back on Harvest.”

Fans will now be able to hear the entire Purdue season, beginning with Tuesday night’s exhibition game against Northern State.

Pregame coverage begins at 6 p.m., with tipoff at 7.

Harvest 103.1 will remain as the home of Indiana University sports, as the station will continue to carry all Hoosier football and basketball games.

In addition, the station serves as the radio home for Notre Dame baseball.

“We now carry more collegiate play-by-play events than any station in Michiana,” states WHME-FM Program Director Gary Hegland. “We’re really happy that we can serve as a home for the college sports fan.”
