Proos tours Forensic Fluids facility

LANSING — State Sen. John Proos on Monday toured the Kalamazoo facilities of Forensic Fluids Laboratories, which has been named one of Michigan’s 50 Companies to Watch.

“Forensic Fluids is an example of the type of cutting-edge technology companies Michigan needs to compete in the 21st century,” said Proos, R-St. Joseph. “Most importantly, I commend this company for choosing to build and create jobs here in southwest Michigan. They are committed to the community, and because they are leading the industry in oral fluid drug testing, Forensic Fluids continues to create good, highly-skilled jobs for Michigan residents.”

Forensic Fluids Laboratories (FFL) offers the industry’s fastest turnaround time using the most advanced, court-approved technology available.

Started in 2005, FFL is the only oral fluid lab in Michigan and the only lab in the country specializing exclusively in oral fluid drug testing using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.

The company was also recognized for innovation in small business by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. in 2009.

Proos was joined on the facility tour by state Sen. Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge, and state Rep. Matt Lori, R-Constantine.
