Peggy Ann Eary, 65, of Edwardsburg, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her residence.

Peggy was born Jan. 6, 1949 in Vandalia, to Charles and Ardith (Hertsel) Carter. She married Randall “Danny” Eary May 3, 1975, in Elkhart, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Peggy liked being around people. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and co-workers, whether going out to eat, making the circuit to their favorite malls or just visiting.

Peggy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Michael (Barbara) Carter of Zephyrhills, Fla.; three nieces, Michelle Balough of Elkhart, Melissa Carter of Tampa, Fla., Sarah Carter of Zephyrhills; numerous cousins and friends, including several close co-workers; and one special friend of more than 45 years who looked after her, Barbara Conrad of Elkhart.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, with Pastor Jeff Oliver officiating. Mrs. Eary will be laid to rest beside her late husband Danny in Birch Lake Cemetery, Vandalia.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Peggy’s name to the donor’s favorite charity.
