The 11U Niles Shockers are the 2010 Newton Park Back To School Bash Champions.

The Shockers went 4-0 over the weekend.

Niles went 3-0 in pool play by Beating the Concord Future 5-2 on Saturday morning, led by strong pitching performances from Josh Renner and Travis Cook and 6-5 win over Kingsbury Titans in the afternoon.

The Shockers came back from being down 5-2 with a strong outing from Dew Huffman and Joey Covyeou, key hits from Josh Renner and Jakob Huffman. In their last at bat tied with two outs, Tayton Stevens drives in the winning run.

Sunday the Shockers beat the Portage Dawgs behind a strong outing from pitcher Jarrett Bickel, who pitched a complete game and had plenty of run support in the 11-6 victory to push Niles into the championship game.

In the title contest, the Shockers beat The Kingsbury Titans 10-2 with another strong pitching performance from Renner, who tossed a complete game and a line-up that from top to bottom was hitting the ball very well and at one point had the Titans change three pitchers in one inning.
