Pre-order price deadline approaches for new Niles book

In mid-August, the Design Committee of the Niles Downtown Development Authority announced the publication of a book about Niles. “Niles, Then and Now” is a pictorial record of the Niles’ Downtown Historic District and it contains photos of each building located in the district. The book includes an historic photo and a more recent photo of each building. In addition to the numerous color photos, there are descriptions and histories of the properties

The Design Committee offered a special pre-order price of $13 per book plus shipping & handling. After Oct. 1, the price of the book will be its regular price of $15 plus shipping.

According to Jeanne Watson, “The Design Committee has received approximately 100 orders to date and more orders arrive each day,” said Jeanne Watson. “There seems to be a big interest in the rich history of Niles.”

“The book is right on schedule for distribution around November 1st and we are so excited to unveil it,” said Fredda Zeiter.

Order forms are available upon request at Niles Main Street Office, 333 N. 2nd Street, Suite No. 303, Niles. Twenty-three business in Niles have order forms. You can also call Jeanne at (269) 687-6074 for an order form.
