INDIANAPOLIS — The Cassopolis FFA Agricultural Issues Team represented Michigan at the FFA National Convention in Indianapolis Oct. 24-27.

Their journey to the national convention began when they were named the Michigan state champion team at the state convention last March, earning a gold rating.

The team, which includes members from Ross Beatty High School and Niles High School, presented the issue “Should the child labor regulations in agriculture be updated?” which was a dynamic issue in agriculture this year.

Following the state convention, they were invited to present their topic at the Animal Health Division of Pfizer in Kalamazoo, as well as a tour of the Pfizer research farm.

While at the FFA National Convention, the team finished among the top 16 teams in the country.
