There is still time to be a part of the annual Memorial Festival sponsored by the Edwardsburg Chamber of Commerce.

The Memorial Day Parade May 27 will step off at 11 a.m. and proceed along US-12 in the Village of Edwardsburg. There will be a short pause at the Edwardsburg Historical Museum for a flag ceremony before the parade continues to the cemetery for the placing of the flags.

Immediately following the parade, the Memorial Festival begins in Gunn Park. The festival will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There you will find numerous booths with crafts, information, food, music, games for children and more.

Location of the booths will be determined by the number of applications. Registration deadline is May 22. Booths, which are 10×10, are available for $25. Tables are not provided. Contact the Edwardsburg Chamber of Commerce at (574) 343-3721 or 663-2244 for more information. The chamber office, at 26225 US-12 is opening every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you want to take part in the parade you can call either the American Legion at 663-8888 or the Edwardsburg Fire Department at 663-2160 for more information.

The Presbyterian Church, located on Lake Street just off of US-12, will be holding a pancake breakfast Memorial Day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Suggested donation is $5 per person and $3 for children 12 and under.
