EDWARDSBURG – Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department Chief Kenneth Wray reports that his department is investigating a marijuana grow operation found on North Shore Drive near Eagle Lake Road.

Wray says that his officers were sent to the residence to check on the welfare of a child and to see if the child was going to school.

During the interview with the father it was found that a marijuana grow operation was taking place on the property. The operation included lighting, cooling, humidifiers, air recirculation units and plants in various stages of growth, along with some processing of plant material.

Equipment and plants have an estimated value of $70,000.
