LMC student recital Nov. 27

The Lake Michigan College Music Department will present a student recital at 12:40 p.m. Nov. 27 in the Hanson Theatre of the LMC Mendel Center for Arts and Technology, 2755 E. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor.

Appearing on the program will be solo vocalists including baritones Jackson Kerr, of Berrien Springs, Jaeho Lee, of South Korea, and Kendall Walker, of Baroda, and soprano Katie Nelson, of St. Joseph.Pianists performing include Lillieanna Andrews, of Stevensville, Greg Binger, of St. Joseph, Jaeho Lee, Sarah Miller, of Coloma, Tara Sanders of Benton Harbor, Kendall Walker and Alexis Young, of Benton Harbor. Sarah Miller will also perform a piece on organ.

Instrumental soloists on the program include cellist Greg Binger, violinist Yuri Kolev of Yambol, Bulgaria, and violist Jose Rodriguez Torres  of Puerto Rico.

Recital repertoire to be presented includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, P.P. Bliss, Frederic Chopin, George Gershwin, Stephen Heller, Herbert Kingsly, Vitorio Monti, Franz Schubert, Robert D. Vandall, Giuseppe Verdi and Karl Friedrich Zelter.

The accompanist for the program is Kellie Meyer.  Faculty members presenting students in the recital include Luke Cook, Paul Flyger, James Kraus Jr., Brad Krueger, Beth Oeseberg and Tami Snyder-Knutson.

The recital is free of charge and open to the public.
