The Krush Volleyball Club’s 17 National team captured the 2016 Asics Junior National Volleyball championship this past weekend in Chicago.

The 17 National squad went 9-0 in match play over the three-day tournament, defeating Minnesota Freeze 17s in the championship match 25-22 and 25-22.

The team, which is coached by Dennis Cooper, Krush Volleyball Club director, consists of Carly Barton, Lexi Smith and Nola Wallace of Niles; Audrey Bellina  of Edwardsburg; Olivia DePriest of Brandywine; Britta Mollberg and Taylor Strauss of Buchanan; Josie Debicki and Paige Engdahl of Mishawaka; and Lindsay Essig of Lakeshore.
