CASSOPOLIS — Janice M. Kulp, 73, of Calvin Township, Cassopolis, passed to her rest at her home after an illness.

She was born Sept. 22, 2013 in Elkhart, Ind., the daughter of Charles E. ‘Ike’ and Madeline ‘Madge’ (Stuart) Delp. She has lived in the Michiana area most of her life, except for about 12 years, when she lived in Nebraska. There she and her husband, Larry, owned a bar/tavern. They were also the owners of a western clothing store known as ‘Brewster Western Supply.’  Janice loved to fish and go camping. She especially liked being in the outdoors with all her family. She was fond of her pet dogs and cats, and all the wild birds outside of her home. She was employed at Conn-Selmer in Elkhart. After her retirement she worked at Hardings Grocery Store in Edwardsburg for over six years, as a clerk.

Janice was married Aug. 18, 1957 in Elkhart, to Lawrence Richard Kulp, and he passed in 1990. Surviving are their children; Kathy L. (Steven) Tucker of  Edwardsburg, Tamara L. (Daniel) Broeder of Lincoln, Neb., Jeffrey L. (Jill) Kulp of Arnold, Neb., and Paul L. (Karen) Kulp of Grand Island, Neb. There are 13 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She has two surviving brothers; Richard (JoEllen) Delp of Union and James (Penny) Delp of Edwardsburg. Family who have passed are her parents, her husband Larry, and several in-laws.

Family and friends may gather Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home 26863 West Main St. (US-12), Edwardsburg. The Service of Remembrance will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Church of Christ, on M-60, about two miles east of Cassopolis, where all may gather for one hour before the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Oliver and the Rev. Larry Settle, pastors of the church. Burial will follow at Adamsville Cemetery, Edwardsburg.

Arrangements are by the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, Edwardsburg.
