MHSAA Team State: Division 1 Quarterfinals complete

BATTLE CREEK — Just like the Division 4 quarterfinals to open the day, there were three blowouts and one close match in the Division 1 opening round of the MHSAA Team State Finals.

Oxford, the No. 5 seed, rallied to knock off No. 4 seed Grandville 32-23.

Oxford (24-4) trailed Grandville (17-2) 9-3 after the 112-pound match and 17-12 halfway through the match.

In the other quarterfinals matches, No. 1 Davidson (23-4) defeated No. 8 Livonia Franklin (15-7) 68-0, No. 3 Detroit Catholic Central (16-4) defeated No. 6 Plymouth (36-5) 57-9 and No. 2 Hartland (39-2) defeated No. Macomb Dakota (26-5) 40-27.
