The Dowagiac All-Stars finished second in the 7-8 Division of the Hartford Invitational that wrapped up play recently.

Dowagiac was defeated by Golfs 7-6 in the championship game.

Dowagiac came through the consolation bracket to reach the finals.

Gobles edged Dowagiac 4-3 in its first game, but the All-Stars regrouped and defeated Hartford, Howard Township, Eastwood and Paw Paw.

Dowagiac topped Hartford 16-4, blanked Howard Township 20-0, defeated Eastwood 13-3 and edged Paw Paw 7-4 in the consolation finals.

Dowagiac Nick Turnbow was given the Golden Glove/Most Outstanding Player Award for the tournament.
