Hutchins wins fourth Frigid 5K title

Andrea Hutchins has never lost at the Frigid 5K and Saturday was no exception.

Hutchins became a four-time winner of the race held in conjunction with the Hunter Ice Festival. She posted a time of 19:03 to easily defeat runner-up Alison Nesbitt, who finished with a 19:38.

Justin Kowalkski is now a three-time champion after successfully defending his title in the men’s race. Kowalski posted a time of 16:35.

Second place went to Lucas Sullivan, who ran a time of 17:17.

A total of 292 runners took advantage of the mild temperatures to blow away the old record of 185 set in 2012. The race was sponsored by Cycle and Fitness of Niles.
