Sam Adams food drive brings in plenty

The annual Sam Adams Elementary food drive was a big success again this year.

The drive was spearheaded by Julie Allen.

“Thank you to everyone who brought in food for those in need,” Allen said. “All the students who participated learned how good it feels to help others.”

Students and parents at Sam Adams may still help those in need during this holiday season. Sam Adams is taking part in the Toys for Tots program and will be collecting new toys from now until Christmas.

Proceeds from the annual candy cane sale will be used to buy toys to help fill the Toys for Tots box.

“If you want to help others, but don’t have a lot of extra money we will continue to collect box tops for education and Campbell’s soup labels every month to help raise money for things for everyone in our school. So please keep collecting and sending them,” said Dee Voss, director of curriculum and instruction for grades K-6.
