Museum exhibit honors quilters

The Edwardsburg Historical Museum is getting ready for its next display, which will be a tribute to the quilters of Edwardsburg.

The exhibit will feature handmade quilts made or owned by past or present Edwardsburg residents. The quilt display will be in place by Sept. 10 and remain on display until Oct. 24.

If you have a favorite quilt that you would like to display, contact Marge Braniff at 699-5725 or bring it to the museum by Sept. 5.

Some quilt racks will be provided, but if you have a rack, the loan of the rack would be appreciated.

For more information, contact 663-8408 or come to the museum any day from 1 to 4 p.m. or Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be a quilters reception to open the new display from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at the museum.

The public is invited meet the quilters and view the quilts.

Barnswallow Theatre will present the musical “Quilters” on Sept. 27, 28, 29 and 30.

Members of the cast of the “Quilters” to be given by the Barnswallow Theatre have also been invited to attend the museum opening.
