D&R Sports wins ASA Class F slow-pitch state title

D&R Sports captured the ASA Class F state slow-pitch softball title this past weekend in Muskegon.

The team is sponsored as well by Bud Distributing, Underground Pipe & Valve and File Land Company.

D&R Sports defeated Smoking Bucks 17-2, Wild Bunch 14-2, Oak Prairie Farms 11-10, Two Fellers Tree Service 6-5 and Team Menace 11-7 to reach the title game.

In the first championship, Neat & Green Rhinos defeated D&R Sports 11-7 to force a second title game.

D&R edged Neat and Green 7-6 to claim the championship.

Alex Miller hit a walk-off single to score B.J. Willis in the bottom of the seventh.
