Optimists flip pancakes April 14

Dowagiac Optimist Club’s 29th annual pancake breakfast takes place from 7 to 11 a.m. April 14 at the Union High School cafeteria.
Cost of the breakfast is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $4 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Profits support Dowagiac youth activities.
Projects of Dowagiac Optimist Club include a $500 scholarship to a high school senior and sponsorship of the annual Halloween Parade among many other worthwhile community activities.
The breakfast will be held in conjunction with the Dowagiac Girls Softball Tournament at the DUHS softball field.
